I’m sitting here on the shores of Lake Erie enjoying the early morning hours and a rather dark cup of coffee. Life is good. The past week has been really nice with a whirlwind of family, airports and baby showers/gifts. I’ve never really payed attention to what airline I was flying in the past, however after this vacation I will never fly United Airlines again if I can help it.
So far, the trip from Kalispell to S.C. and S.C. to Buffalo have been nothing but smooth. I’ve come to the realization that United just plain ole sucks after several mistakes made by ticket agents and poor customer service. From what I can gather, they went downhill after they acquired Continental. I’m just hoping that our flight back to Montana goes smoother and we make it back the same day. Enough said, don’t fly United.
This trip has pretty interesting- listening to people’s viewpoints on politics and seeing how culturally insensitive most of the nation is. I’ve unfortunately been witness to some nasty remarks that white America makes towards those from other cultures all the while trying to keep my cool and not show them a piece of my mind. Thankfully, there are many great people to offset the negativity that we have witnessed. Looking forward to getting back home and getting on my bike.
Back home in Whitefish, a friend from Seattle just rode his Boedie from Seattle to Whitefish, camping along the way. I have to admit, I’m kind of jealous. Even more, I’m bummed that we will not see him and his beautiful family when we get back. Timing is everything, they say. Justin sent me this picture taken on the Whitefish Trail.
